RYTAC started back in 1969, a partnership with the Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie and the YMCA.

The theme of RYTAC is to promote the development of spirit, mind and body by encouraging healthy lifestyles, personal growth and service to our community.

The centre presents an opportunity for our citizens, both young and old to actively participate at a recreational level in recognized Olympic sports such as tennis, rowing, sailing and volleyball.

The objectives of RYTAC are to share this wondrous waterfront locale and its recreational facilities with the entire community of greater Sault Ste. Marie and all of its visitors. To promote a community atmosphere featuring athletic activities, training, competition, and other leisure-time events to enhance the city’s quality of life.
